Mora’s UCLA Bruins were ascending as a program until QB Josh Rosen was injured early in the season.

They finished with an unsightly 4-8 record, roiling more than a few feathers amongst the Bruin faithful. Athletic Director Dan Guerrero still refers to Mora as an “outstanding coach,” which may be hyperbolic considering his good, but not great, 41-24 record at UCLA.

Mora would only need to relocate a dozen miles south on the 405, so he has that going for him.

But if he couldn’t take a college team to the proverbial next level, why would ownership think he could do that for the Rams?

Odds: 50-1
