The Stanford Cardinal Head Coach is often overlooked in discussions of elite head men.

His 63-17 record would seem to indicate otherwise.

The Rams would be wise to put in a call to a self-labeled “manager” that would transition seamlessly to operating in structure of the NFL.

With two Rose Bowl victories under his belt, Shaw is a proven winner and big game coach. He is intimately familiar with Jared Goff, having coached against him for three years when the quarterback was at Cal.

With an NFL coaching pedigree that includes stints under Brian Billick and Jim Harbaugh, Shaw is ready to graduate into the league.

His legacy at Stanford is one of molding and improving players, and the Rams need that type of leadership after the wasted 2016 campaign.
