Los Angeles was embarrassed in San Francisco during the first week of the season, and that should’ve been our standard for Rams football the rest of the year.

After that game, the Rams went on to win three straight, but find themselves losers of eight of their last nine as it stands right now.

Due in large part to Fisher’s antics about not wanting to change quarterbacks, the Rams tumbled because of Case Keenum’s poor outings.

Time after time, Keenum put up numbers that would’ve gotten most, if not every, other quarterbacks in the NFL benched. Eventually, Keenum lost his starting job to Goff, which he wasn’t happy about either.

Moving on from Fisher means room for Goff to grow.

That in mind, San Francisco is also enduring a quarterback crisis. After Colin Kaepernick led the team to a Super Bowl a few seasons ago, it’s been all downhill from there.

Blaine Gabbert was given the starting job over Kaepernick, but also lost his gig mid-season.

Fisher joining the 49ers as their next head coach or assistant actually makes  a lot of sense. While Chip Kelly’s ideas are still new to the team, he replaced a coach in Jim Tomsula that only lasted one season.

That being said, it doesn’t sound like the best job security.

Fisher would still stick around the NFC West, and the 49ers might like that only because it’s a division he’s familiar with.

They’d have to look past his woeful record at the helm of teams prior, but that’s the case for every endeavor after Los Angeles.
