In moving to Los Angeles, the Rams expressed interest in returning to their older uniforms. Their re-branding process will come full circle when their Inglewood stadium is complete — but that’s not until 2019.

For the Chargers, the type of re-branding being discussed goes beyond uniforms. A report from AM 570 writer Vincent Bonsignore on Twitter explains more on what they have in mind.

Taking Los Angeles by storm as a completely new team would be incredibly groundbreaking. It would do much more than the Rams did by moving from St. Louis by leaps and bounds.

This would be the chance for Los Angeles to really have their own team.

Deciding the logo, uniforms, mascot, and nickname is how the Chargers could really take full control of the city and potentially leave the Rams in the rear-view mirror.
