Alec Martinez

It’s one thing to be the defenseman points leader on your team halfway through the season. It’s another when Drew Doughty is on your team.
Alec Martinez, always known to have underrated abilities, has quietly been putting together a career year and providing outstanding consistency on the Kings’ blue line all season long.
Sure, it will be difficult to see Martinez picked for the All-Star Team over defensemen like Cam Fowler or Oliver Ekman-Larsson.
But no one can deny he would get well-deserved recognition and appreciation with a nod.
Plus, he’s a pretty darn good 3-on-3 player.
