2017 NHL All-Star jerseys revealed, will reflect Kings

The 2017 NHL All-Star jerseys are here, ready to shake up Los Angeles.
One day after releasing the rosters for the 2017 NHL All-Star Game, the league unveiled the 2017 NHL All-Star jerseys. There’s four uniforms that’ll be donned by the four divisions in the 3-on-3 tournament.
The NHL Centennial and the 50th Anniversary of the LA Kings are the inspiration for the uniforms.
Reminiscent of the jerseys worn in the All-Star Games from 1989-91, each jersey has a band of 10 stars. Each representing a decade in the 100-year history of the NHL.
Additionally, the socks include four stars representing the four league divisions.
Conveniently, the font is inspired by the lettering used in the iconic Hollywood Sign.
Iconically, all four colors represent part of the Kings 50-year history.
The Pacific Division will wear the black jerseys; the Central will wear purple, the Atlantic Division will don gold and the Metro will be dressed in white.
It’s a creative way for the league and the Los Angeles Kings to celebrate. Two milestones coming together in a display of respect is a true sweet spot.
Compared to the NBA’s relatively dull jerseys for their All-Star game, the NHL did it right. They respected the team and city hosting the festivities and included all four divisions.
Finally, I think they have a classic yet fresh look and creatively incorporate the NHL Centennial, the Kings’ 50-year anniversary, and Hollywood itself.
