Just like the relocation itself, moving on from Mike McCoy was a necessary decision.

The team relieved McCoy of his duties following another disappointing season in San Diego. There are still plenty of options to replace him, but the team has not announced that yet.

With the move to Los Angeles now in plain view, it may draw in one peculiar candidate — Jeff Fisher.

Not saying in any way that this will actually happen, but the hypothetical alone is pretty mind-boggling.

Fisher was let go from the Rams for a number of reasons. None more important perhaps than his handling of Jared Goff and his reluctance to bench a struggling veteran in Case Keenum.

The ex-Rams coach said after the firing that he wants a chance to play the Rams.

What better way than to have it be with the new team in town?

Chargers wouldn’t necessarily be smart to hire him, though. His losing record speaks for itself, and his persona sounds like one they’d realistically avoid.

Or at least we hope so, right?
