Byron Scott

Lakers, 2014 – 2016

Scott was a wonderful player for the Lakers during their salad days in the 1980’s, winning three titles alongside Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy.

His coaching career, at least with the Lakers, was far more bleak.

Tasked with the end of the Kobe Bryant era and subsequent rebuild, Scott went 38-126 before being fired during an informal Sunday evening meeting with Mitch Kupchak.
