George Raveling

USC Basketball, 1987 – 1994

The hiring of Raveling was a watershed moment for the Trojans, who were mired in a 46-year slump, having only appeared in the NCAA Tournament four times in the four-plus decades.

His 115-118 record belies the actual impact he had on the program, building the team from single digit wins his first season to a 24-6 record and second round tournament appearance in 1991-1992.

Raveling won national coach of the year in 1992 and was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015.
