Magic Johnson

Lakers, 1994

Johnson, whose legendary Lakers playing career ended tragically and prematurely, replaced Randy Pfund 66 games into the 1994 season.

Though the Lakers won five of their first six games under Johnson, they plunged into a 10-game losing streak to finish the season.

Johnson opted for the business side of life in the aftermath, purchasing 5% of the Lakers and jump starting a career as one of the most prominent businesspeople in Los Angeles.

Magic was enshrined into the NBA Hall of Fame (as a player) in 2002.
