Denver Nuggets small forward Wilson Chandler has requested a trade.

If the LA Clippers don’t get Carmelo Anthony, should they look into trading for Wilson Chandler? He plays the same position as Anthony.

Also, he has been in the league for quite awhile and can shoot the three ball.

There are so many qualities and attributes he’d bring to Lob City.

For example, he is aggressive, competitive, physical, and has good basketball IQ.

Additionally, he is hungry to win and make the playoffs. He is on a team on the verge of making the playoffs.

Wilson Chandler wants to be traded since he has seen his minutes decrease from coming off the bench and not starting. However his numbers have gone up off the bench

Joining LA would help not only what he wants, but what the Clippers need and want as well. Then again, we all don’t get what we want all the time.

Also, sometimes what we want is not what we need.

You ask how would he help the team if he is worried about starting and and doesn’t want to  come off the bench?

Well for one he wold be on a playoff team therefore I think he would be content with coming off the bench. Also, he wold compete for the starting role of small forward, which he could possibly win.

Lastly he has grit and is a great defender which is what Lob city needs.

They are predicated around defense. Wilson Chandler can play defense and shoot. Also, him coming off the bench would help everyone.

To justify this just look at his numbers.

For example, one performance that can justify this is his performance in the loss to the Lakers.

In 36 minutes he was the leading scorer for the game with 26 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. From the field he went 10-20, but from the arc he was near perfect 4-6.

The LA Clippers need a player in Wilson Chandler he can be consistent shooting from downtown.

They also need a player who can make plays on the defensive end, hence his 3 steals and 5 rebounds on that side.

Therefore the remaining question is should LA go after Wilson Chandler before the trade deadline?

Wilson Chandler wants to start and has asked for a trade therefore why not go after him if they don’t get Carmelo Anthony.
