As of Friday morning, a Rams color change back to their old time original scheme of blue and white was confirmed.

The Los Angeles Rams aren’t the first team to announce that they’ll be looking different next season.

Before their announcement came changes from the Jaguars, Lions, and Chargers.

According to a report from SB Nation’s Turf Show Times, the new logo changes have been confirmed.

Per the report:

"Today, a leaked style sheet suggests the Rams might be moving to the throwbacks…but not the blue and yellow throwbacks you saw so many of in the stands at the Coliseum this year."

The report goes on to share this tweet from reporter Ben Isaacs.

The biggest takeaway from the transition is that it removes gold completely from the color scheme.

There were more than enough fans calling for the team to go back to their gold uniforms, but that won’t happen.

Instead, the blue and white logo looks like it’s here to stay. That also means that the chances of the Rams changing their uniforms in 2019 to match go up.

Hopefully this move will give the younger Rams more confidence.

None more important out of that young bunch than the trio of Jared Goff, Todd Gurley, and Sean McVay.

With a second year quarterback, third year running back, and rookie head coach that happens to be the youngest ever, the Rams have their work cut out for them.

Finally, it’s important to note that the team may have had a cosmetic change to lure more fans in. Since the Chargers released several different designs for their relocation, the Rams had to stay a step ahead.

Logos only mean something if you use it as motivation for players to play for and behind.
