Chris Long

Chris Long finally earned his first Super Bowl win in the NFL and it was no easy task. Helping your team win a championship doesn’t have to show on the box score.

Well, this is how it was for former Ram Chris Long in Super Bowl LI.

The only stat he had on the box score was one hit on the quarterback. This could have been bad news for New England, however there are other pass rushers who also did their job by getting to the quarterback.

In a way Chris Long was a decoy to say the least.

That is how much respect he deserves and he has to be given.

Then again, his father is Howie Long.

The difference maker is where he rushed the passer and earned a holding call against Atlanta.

That disruption lead to a second holding call and was one of the momentum shifts on defense; New England had quite a few momentum changes on offense as well.
