Corey  Perry leads Anaheim Ducks to victory on the road.

Corey Perry helped lead the Ducks to a well needed road victory. Everyone tonight did their job, from offense to defense. Yes, you could say the defense slipped a little but they didn’t allow more goals then their own team scored.

Therefore, you can also say they rebounded well. Also, multiple players scored goals in this sweet road win. It was a complete game for the Ducks.

Both goalies competed in this game because the team was doing so well. Hence Jonathan Bernier got some time off the bench in the last 5 minutes where he saved 2 shots attempted at him.

Corey Perry was one of five Ducks players who scored a goal. The other 3 teammates who scored include, Rickard Rakell, Antoine Vermette, and Andrew Cogliano. Between them and the rest of the team they took 44 shots on goals. Anaheim had been able to let the puck fly in all their games and this game they were finally able to convert five times.

What is more astonishing is it seems as if they Ducks only had possession of the puck 38% of the game. To score that many times with that many shot attempts and so little time is amazing. They were also able to convert on one of their four power plays.

Besides allowing 2 goals the whole game their defense wasn’t entirely bad. They did allow more hits 24 to their own 18. However they only gave up 26 shots on goal. John Gibson saved 22 out of the 26 saves and was the goaltender who allowed the goals scored on him. Bernier saved 2 more.

This game is how Corey Perry and the Ducks need to play if they are going to advance deep in the post-season and make the Stanley Cup.
