Bench, you didn’t see that coming

Luke Walton will bench anyone. This has been true for veteran center Timofey Mozgov who he benched. In addition, he has Luol Deng coming off the bench.

Tarik Black has earned the starting role with the Lakers and Zubac is coming off the bench. Also, Walton has even said he will bench any of the young guys if they don’t play the way he wants them to.

With a long shot at the post-season Walton has decided to start his young core giving them time to develop and see who wants to play and win. One of the first times he did this they defeated the New York Knicks and then they met the Detroit Pistons who LA was not so lucky with.

What Walton needs to do is start the young core consistently. However, when it comes to match ups with certain teams he should start a mix of Lakers.
