Closing Thoughts

It’s still just an idea, but a wild one at that. Processing what that would mean for the league, if not NBA history, is a lot to take in.

Davis is the competitive type, but still hasn’t had the chance for much playoff or championship experience. Coming together with Westbrook in Los Angeles would mean getting the best of both worlds.

He would still get to learn how to mold his game around players with different skill sets that present themselves in the young core. But there would also be the chance to be that energetic duo that Los Angeles needs.

And if all else fails, it gives the Lakers a return to some serious personality.

In the same breath, it could easily be playing with fire. The last time the Lakers had players of that caliber that won multiple titles came in the form of Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant.

We all know how that ended.

That in mind, it wouldn’t be so bad to see Los Angeles get some star power back and return to their competitive ways.
