Lou Williams

Age: 30

Exp: 11 years

Position: Shooting guard

Salary: $7M

When you’re the best sixth man in the league more than just once in your career and on completely different teams, you find yourself in the shoes of Lou Williams. Being a threat off of the bench has been irreplaceable for Los Angeles, and they’ll be sure to go for the highest bidder if WIlliams is involved.

Another great thing about him is that he understands the business side of the game. He’s just happy to play.

For other guys, location is a major factor, if not the only factor, in determining their actual effort on any given night. Thanks to that sort of special drive, the Lakers should feel both comfortable and confident in putting Williams up for grabs.

What they should try and get in return is someone that can back up D’Angelo Russell, but not steal the spotlight. When healthy, it should be Russell that’s in charge of the team, not just him surviving a game thanks to a great bench.

Williams will instantly improve whatever team he goes to and could turn a middle-of-the-pack squad into everyone’s favorite Cinderella.
