Closing Thoughts

During their most recent game against the Knicks, the Lakers saw what their young core is capable of. They have to stay on the same page throughout the course of the game, but winning big is clearly doable.

Knowing that, the team can’t afford to be foolish at the trade deadline.

Magic Johnson knows that he wants this team to compete sooner rather than later. Having him weigh in on major decisions such as this will hopefully point the team further down the right direction.

They’re doing much better than a season ago — not just in their wins and losses, but because they are watchable again. It was hard, even for the best Lakers fans, to watch a whole season go to waste because of the Kobe Bryant farewell tour.

Thankfully, Bryant’s career ended with a bang and a new generation of Lakers stars were handed the torch.
