Andre Drummond

In order to address their issues at center, the Lakers are in a bit of a pickle. They paid Timofey Mozgov way too much money and now are starting to really pay the consequences.

Dealing him at the deadline isn’t impossible, but it certainly doesn’t make it easy.

According to a report from RealGM, the Pistons are openly looking to get a deal done involving center Andre Drummond.

One of their best players, Drummond would surely help the Lakers figure out what to do with the rest of the young core.

ESPN’s trade machine explains that a trade involving Drummond coming to Los Angeles is a possibility. The Lakers could deal two of their veterans for a true center and expand their game from their.

If done, Detroit would receive Lou Williams and Timofey Mozgov. Not that Mozgov is their best choice, but getting Williams in a deal would give them more reason to push for a trade involving Reggie Jackson.

Should the focus be on getting a center, that’s one way the Lakers could do it.
