Festus Ezeli

The former champion with the Golden State Warriors hasn’t found much success or love from Portland. During his time with the Trail Blazers, he hasn’t been that force they thought he would be.

Joining the Lakers, Ezeli would be another alternative to the Lakers solving their issues at center. As mentioned earlier, Andre Drummond is also one of those options.

If that didn’t work out, though, Ezeli wouldn’t be all bad to pursue.

He wouldn’t be a factor the rest of the season due to a knee issue, but that could give the team some time to make an offer to him when his current contract is up.

The room for concern with Ezeli, outside of injury of course, is making sure the front office pays a reasonable price. Putting up as much money as they did for Mozgov and Deng should show that they shouldn’t always be left to make their own decisions.

But this, if Ezeli’s knee issues don’t linger, could be a game changer in the near future.
