Kyrie Irving

For the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kyrie Irving is the kind of play maker that they’re going to want for a long time to come. After coming up clutch in the NBA Finals last year, Irving’s ability to unleash daggers nearly won him this year’s contest.

The Cleveland point guard knocked down back-to-back rounds of 20 points apiece before losing in overtime — he still scored 18 in the extra frame.

For Irving, the goal remains helping the Cavaliers be the best in the Eastern Conference.

It’s been familiar territory for a while now, but this year they may have a bigger target on their back than ever before.

And like Klay Thompson, the possibility of a third consecutive NBA Finals appearance will always be part of his focus in the second part of the season.
