The man of the night hailed from Houston and took Kyrie Irving to overtime and earned his crown.

Gordon netted a crazy 25 points in the opening round before 20 and 21 to close out the contest. He is the first player from the Houston Rockets to accomplish such a feat.

He and Houston aim to have a top seed in the Western Conference by the time the playoffs roll around.

It’s likely that they won’t finish ahead of San Antonio or Golden State, but the reality is that they can be a likable underdog when it’s all said and done.

Gordon’s main focus in his role with the team has to be staying focus despite all of the conversation that’s going to follow if they give the Spurs or Warriors a scare in the standings.

It all comes down to tuning out the noise.
