Jimmy Butler of the Chicago Bulls is closer to landing on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Jimmy Butler being traded to LA is one of the many Lakers rumors. The front office for Chicago isn’t very helpful and hides things from Butler, therefore he may be traded before the deadline.

The Lakers need a young veteran small forward star who can attract other stars as well. Los Angeles has a great chance to acquire Jimmy Butler via trade, waiver wire, or free agency.

If he were to land with the Lakers, the front office would have to sit down and talk with him about the plans of the future before acquiring him. Then if he is in he shall join the team.

Also, LA will have plenty of cap space. Maybe they could even land another star or a Bulls role player in the trade for Butler. The Lakers have plenty to give up in players or even draft picks.

Trading for Jimmy Butler would push Brandon Ingram to come off the bench as the small forward. Or he would compete in the starting 4 spot with Julius Randle and Larry Nance Jr.

The Lakers would be able to at the end of the season discuss future plans with free agents, doing their best to attract them to LA. It is a wonderful beautiful city to play in.

It is just no one wants to play with the Lakers because the team isn’t good right now or they can’t decipher how good they are.

Jimmy Butler could be the player that takes the risk and ends up with the Lakers to help attract other stars after the season. There are only 3 more days left before the trade deadline.
