Clippers trade rumors: Celtics interested in Blake Griffin

Clippers trade rumors include the Celtics being interested in power forward Blake Griffin.

Clippers trade rumors may come into fruition or may not as the trade deadline is one day away. Both the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers are playoff teams in their respective conferences.

They each are looking to win a title now.  A shakeup in each team could help them accomplish their goals. Then they could possibly meet each other in the finals if the trade rumors come true.

Money isn’t an issue as both teams have plenty of money. The next question is if the Clippers trade rumors of Blake Griffin are true who would the Clippers get in return?

Los Angeles would possibly for sure get Jae Crowder and possibly some reserve players. Blake Griffin and Jae Crowder both play different positions. Griffin is a power froward, while Crowder is a small forward. Additionally, they are both versatile especially on defense. They can each guard just about anyone.

Blake Griffin to the Celtics would push Amir Johnson to the bench, yet it would be an improved there-point shooter on the court.

Also, he would add high energy to the Celtics high powered offense. Jae Crowder would add heighth to the Clippers.

Additionally, Los Angeles could even grab Marcus Smart to be their point guard for the future and back up Chris Paul.

The Clippers would be ready to compete for a title now with young talent who are also high flyers.

They could get more from Boston than the Celtics can from LA.

Crowder is an excellent defender who has more offensive talent in making three-pointers as well as mid-range jump shots.
