Numbers don’t lie
While no one forced the Rams to give Austin his contract its obvious he’s not taking anything less from the team. His numbers however don’t make it any easier for Austin’s case.
- Austin has dropped an average of 13.89% of the passes thrown to him last two seasons.
- Total yards for last two seasons: 509, 473
- Total receptions last two years: 58, 52
- And two fumbles in his last two seasons.
We need not reminding that the Rams situation at quarterback has been a mess the last three years but other great receivers have had productive seasons with muddy quarterback situations.
