A press conference will be held this Thursday revolving around Bob Miller.

The Los Angeles Kings announced a press conference for this Thursday with longtime announcer Bob Miller.  It is scheduled for 3 pm local time and will be live streamed on the team website.  In their announcement the team stated that Miller would be giving an update on his current health status and his future with the team.

At 77 years old Miller has had recent health set backs that have kept him out of the booth for extended amount of time.  Last year Miller had a quadruple bypass that ended his season early and prevented him from doing play by play for the Kings in the playoffs for the first time ever.

Miller made a full recovery but this year he had decided to cut back on his schedule missing out on the Kings lengthy cross country road trips, despite a reduced schedule Miller suffered another health scare.

The beloved Miller has been with the team since 1972 is a great link to the teams past, he’s manned the Kings booth from the Fabulous Forum in Inglewood to the Staples Center in Downtown L.A.

Miller has had the privilege of calling games for ever Kings player who has had their number retired and hang from the rafters.

There is speculation that the press conference on Thursday will announce Miller’s retirement either this season or the next.
