UCLA, USC looking to impact NFL Combine

Jayon Brown

119 tackles (1st on team), 7 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 3 INTs. A high-upside player, he is very polarizing for scouts. On one hand, he’s lightning-quick and an exceptional coverage linebacker. Otherwise, his 6′, 230-lb size is rather small for an NFL linebacker.

He was very productive on defense and special teams, so his measurables will be a huge factor in determining his draft projection. Though some mocks have him going as high as the third round, the NFL tends to undervalue defensive players coming out of UCLA.

And though he’ll likely have a productive NFL career, he will probably be taken around the sixth round.
