UCLA, USC looking to impact NFL Combine

Eddie Vanderdoes
29 tkls, 1.5 tfl, 1.5 sacks. Vanderdoes was a ballyhooed prospect heading into his time in Westwood, having spurned Notre Dame for a chance at remaking the UCLA defense.
His freshman year was loaded with promise, as his capacity as a run-stopper was manifest on a tightening defense. When his sophomore season started, the ceiling appeared limitless as did his draft prospects.
Then he tore his ACL in the season opener, only to return this season as a better-than-average-but-not-great component of a defense.
If he returns to form, he is a first round talent – but for now, he projects as a fifth rounder.
