Lakers destroyed by rival Celtics

The Lakers were embarrassed at home by their bitter rival.
Wearing their throwbacks from the 1987 championship season, the 2017 Los Angeles Lakers looked more like the “slowtime” Lakers than the “showtime” Lakers.
In a meeting of longtime rivals between the Boston Celtics and the Lakers the disparity in talent and skill was evident on the Staples Center court.
The Celtics won 115-95 over the Lakers and as the score indicated it wasn’t really that close. The Celtics shot 51 percent for the game and never were challenged by the Lakers as they began with a 70 point first half, and never lost the lead.
The Celtics prevailed with balance scoring as they had six players score in double figures, led by Isiah Thomas who had 18 points to go along with his 8 assists.
The Lakers were led by Jermey Clarksons 20 points off the bench, but like many of the Lakers Clarkson was abysmal from three point land shooting 1-9 from behind the arc as the team went 6-24 overall from three.
With only twenty games left for the team, it would seem that the Lakers youth movement has stalled, this will be the fourth consecutive losing season after only four losing seasons in the previous 52 years.
As the terrible losses mount the Lakers prospects have to start stepping up or the new brain trust will find them more expendable.
With dysfunction on the court and in the front office the Lakers will keep finding themselves on the wrong end of these kind of games.

For the fans sake the Lakers overall game will have to improve or the Celtics may continue to dominate like they did Friday night.
