Jonathan Bernier Saves the Night in Victory
Jonathan Bernier and the offense lead the Ducks to a wild victory against the Nashville Predators.
Jonathan Bernier wasn’t the only Anaheim Duck who had a tremendous night. The whole team did well. Anaheim has been struggling and this game gives them momentum going forward in the season.
Yes they didn’t blowout their opponent. However they’d grind and grit to the very end until they won. This was the perfect test for the Ducks to have in the regular season. They will have to grind and grit to the end in the postseason if they expect to win the Stanley Cup.
Currently the Ducks sit tied at second in the Pacific Division. If they want to be repeat as division they will need to carry this momentum into their last games and possibly the playoffs.

Jonathan Bernier didn’t have to make many saves in regulation because his offense was able to for the most part keep the puck on the other side of the ice. Yes his defense allowed him to get scored on in regulation, despite the Predators low shot attempts. It just means they were more accurate when they took their shots. However the offense made up for it overtime and the shootout.
In regulation Jonathan Bernier made 24-27 saves. The Ducks were able to get off 42 shots on goal to the Predators 27. Anaheim had possession of the puck for most of the night. Also, they had 35 hits to their opponents 25 hits.
Yet the Ducks offense couldn’t win it in regulation or overtime, it went to a shootout.
Even in the shootout both teams struggled to score. At one point a player from each team both missed their shot at the goal.
It was all the goalies doing the work. Jonathan Bernier once again was carrying his team on his back. In the end Anaheim Ducks Patrick Eaves helped save the day by scoring the lone goal in the shootout to give the Ducks the victory.
