Not necessarily a clutch player

In picking their next star through the draft, the Lakers probably want someone that can be clutch. Developing alongside D’Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram, it would be a necessity to have a clutch part of the young core.

Someone who is confident in their shot, takes high quality shots under pressure, but above all else actually makes the shot.

During their loss to Arizona and even their marginal win over USC, Ball wasn’t present much on the score sheet.

He scored just eight points in the team’s loss to Arizona, and twelve in their previous game against the Trojans. It’s understandable that not every game is going to be a great game, but it’s the PAC-12 tournament.

You’d think the spotlight for that wouldn’t be too bright for a top potential draft pick.
