NFL Free Agency: Three Targets for Chargers this Off-Season
By Jason Reed
The NFL Free Agency is one of the most exciting times in football. Coming off of a 4-12 season, what three players should the Chargers target?
The Los Angeles Chargers are entering a new era for the franchise. Long gone is the days in sunny San Diego, and in is the traffic heavy Los Angeles. After several disappointing seasons, the Chargers parted ways with head coach Mike McCoy. Along with turning that page in the franchise, which players should the Chargers target during this NFL Free Agency?
The Chargers recent struggles has always been baffling to me. There is so much talent there, led by one of the best quarterbacks in the league you would think they could accomplish decent to moderate success.
However, that is not the case. Time and time again we witness the Chargers collapse in the fourth quarter, blowing whatever chance they had of winning. I can count at least twelve games between the past two seasons that the Chargers easily should have won, yet didn’t because of the wrath of the football gods.
However, despite their being constant talent, there are holes that the Chargers need to address for next season. Especially considering that the Chargers can never stay healthy, they will need to add more talent into the organization.
Being a hardcore Charger fan until the day I die, these are three players that not only the Chargers should sign, but I hope that they sign. If the Chargers want to realistically compete in the already great AFC West next season, here are three players they should seek to sign during this NFL Free Agency.
