Closing Thoughts

Think of all these goals as one giant goal and that giant goal as a strike. In baseball the batter gets three strikes then he is out.

Well if the Angels don’t make the post-season this year, that could be Scioscias’ third strike. As this would be the third season not making the playoffs, hence the three strikes and your out simile. Mike Scioscia has one more strike before he is fired by the Angels.

However, if Mike Scioscia leads the Angels to a post-season run and possibly the World Series, he could end up staying with the Angels.

Basically this may be Scioscias’ last chance at keeping his job with the Angels clubhouse. He knows the moves he has to make and will have to make.

Moves he made last season were smart by him given the circumstances. Now this year he will need to make different moves such as possibly trading for players. Or he could manage with the players he has on the team and call players up from their affiliates.
