Josh Mauga – MLB

The Rams were reportedly looking to sign former Steelers linebacker Jarvis Jones. However, just recently Jones signed a contract with the Arizona Cardinals, leaving the Rams still looking for a quality middle linebacker. Therefore, which Rams Rumors does this lead to?

The solution to Los Angeles’ problem lies within former Kansas City Chief Josh Mauga. Of course, it is too soon to say former Chief, but if the Rams can succeed in signing him that testament will be true. While no public news has surfaced on whether or not the Rams are interested in Mauga, he would perfectly fit the mold in the middle of the Rams defense.

Mauga has been a consistent asset for the Kansas City defense for the past two seasons. Muaga’s highlight season, 2015, saw him record 82 tackles. Although last season he only recorded 45, Mauga is still a formidable defending option to take notice of.

In his highlight season, Mauga played both middle linebacker and left inside linebacker. It is evident that Mauga played better in the middle, rather than when he played on the left and right like in 2016. The Rams could make Mauga make this permanent transition to the middle, and he would prove to be a good defensive presence for the team.
