Closing Thoughts

There’s a lot to like about the young core in Los Angeles, but nothing in this word can last forever. Sometimes, especially in the game of basketball, it’s better for the overall progression of the team to move on from certain players.

Even after dealing Lou Williams, as hard as it was for some fans to see a talented sixth man get sent away, the team has shown that it’s ready to try and trust the younger stars.

They didn’t draft them for no reason, right?

All in all, D’Angelo Russell’s selection in the draft came with the most weight, so it’ll leave the conversation as the one to watch out for the most.

Whether or not he’s truly franchise type material is yet to be seen, as all he’s demonstrated is that he can be great in flashes.

The Lakers need more consistency than that.

That being said, it all makes for what will surely be a heck of an off-season and an opportunity to do some moving around.
