Lakers vs Celtics

This rivalry is definitely the biggest rivalry in basketball. I am shocked it didn’t make it to first on the list.

This is a great rivalry that goes back to the days when both teams were winning championships.

Each team has an unforgettable past and future to look forward to. When these two meet in the post-season its only during the Finals. They had many matches in the Kobe Bryant era and before.

In the Kobe Bryant era they met in 2008 and 2010.

The Celtics won in 2008 and the Lakers in 2010. Both series went to at least 6 games. Boston won in six games in 2008 in a tightly contested series.

Then the Lakers were able to bounce back in 2010. Boston missed the Finals in 2009, yet the Lakers made it and won the title that year against the Orlando Magic.

The rivalry in the Finals is intense and usually always goes down to the final and seventh game of the series and the last minute of the game. Not mention this game is always physical and all about defense when these two meet.
