Lakers rumors: Nick Young may be the Next to Leave the Lakers
New Lakers rumors include who is next to be leaving LA?
Could these Lakers rumors surrounding Nick Young lead to him being the next to be shopped by the Lakers? Well, Nick Young is no stranger to playing for different teams, so we could see this move sooner rather than later.
While being a member of the Lakers organization, Nick Young has made the most of his time. For example, this season during All-Star weekend he participated in the three-point contest.
However, because of constant rule changes, he didn’t make it to the second round. I truly feel if the rules were the same he would have had most likely won the competition. Because of his electric touch from behind the arc, he has been able to spark the Lakers coming off the bench.
Earlier in the season, he stole a game winner from Lou Williams. Additionally, when they were winning at the start of the season he would make threes off the bench. They don’t call him Swaggy P for nothing.
Nick Young has improved his defense and of course, is a sharpshooter from beyond the arc. Nonetheless, Nick Young has proven that with his improved skill set that he can make an impact as a starter or as a role player.
In need of a star player to move forward in Magic Johnson eyes, could we see Nick Young being shopped to make room for cap space and on the roster?
Nick Young averages 13.2 points per game. Young has the ability to score points in multiple fashions. Scoring from downtown is his strong suit, yet he can score from anywhere.
Additionally, he brings defense to his game which leads to his offense. A player with this skill is special.
Los Angeles wants a marquee player. Therefore could they trade Nick Young or let him go for the marquee player? Or will they keep Young while signing the marquee player?
Next: Ingram and Zubac the next Kobe and Shaq
Well, fans you will have to wait till after the season is officially over to see where Nick Young ends up. It could very well be in Los Angeles, or more likely, with a team that he can thrive with.
