Around the trade deadline their were Lakers rumors on them landing DeMarcus Cousins. However the Kings wanted the Lakers young stars in Brandon Ingram and D’Angelo Russell for Cousins.

Los Angeles decided to keep their young talent.

Also, of course he wants to make the playoffs and LA is tanking the rest of the season to have chance for the top lottery pick. They made a smart decision.

Now when DeMarcus Cousins is a free agent after the end of the season they install sign him to a contract if he is still interested in the LA market.
