The latest Lakers rumors point to another conflict with the Pacers Paul George is having.

Paul George is a name that has been part of the Lakers rumors conversations for a while now. Currently with the Indiana Pacers, George seems to be pushing his way through more murky waters.

Playing in Los Angeles would be a homecoming for the superstar, and the Lakers know it. They have their eyes on him for when he becomes a free agent after next year, but could they try a trade?

Fox Sports published an article earlier this morning pushing for the team to “pounce” on the opportunity at hand.

George was clearly frustrated with his teammates as well as how much time he got with the ball to close out their latest game.

Per Fox Sports:

"“There’s no urgency, no sense of urgency, no winning pride,” George said. “This locker room is just not pissed off enough… We should have a professional approach, man… As a team, we’ve got to have a grit and we’ve got to own up, man up.”"

The worst part in all of this, at least for the Pacers, is the irony of them likely going to the playoffs. As one of the bottom teams in the Eastern Conference bracket, Indiana will have a tough time going anywhere.

And even if they do, a lack of chemistry doesn’t make things better.

Magic Johnson knows how much it would mean to land a superstar. Not only would that fulfill part of his promise to fans, with the latter being success that will come with time. But it would also give fans something to watch in the here and now outside of the young core.
