Corey Seager – 90

Corey Seager is the highest rated position player for the Los Angeles Dodgers and rightfully so. Finishing a unanimous first in the NL Rookie of the Year voting, and third, in the NL MVP voting, Seager was not only the best Dodger bat but one of the best in the league. Heading into his second full season of work, Seager is already the face of this Dodgers offense.

Seager actually fares quite nicely against the other shortstops in the league. With his 90 rating, Seager has the joint highest rating among MLB shortstops alongside Cleveland Indians Shortstop Francisco Lindor. Seager beats out guys like Trea Turner (88), Brandon Crawford (88), and Carlos Correa (85).

There is not doubt that Corey Seager deserved this honor. Slugging 26 home runs and 72 runs batted in, Seager batted an outstanding .308 while scoring 105 runs. With Logan Forsythe now in the picture, Seager may be slotted into that third spot in the lineup, which will give him some of the best numbers in all of baseball.

This is awesome for Dodger fans who want to bring home the first World Series title in Chavez Ravine since 1988. Seager will certainly be in the middle of every lineup and will put up even more drastic “video game numbers” than he did last season.
