Perhaps the biggest of the Dodgers rumors that we have heard thus far, Vin Scully has decided to come out of retirement and rejoin the Dodgers broadcast team.

Buckle up, Dodgers fans. Circling within the newest Dodgers rumors is the biggest to date – Vin Scully returning to call games in Chavez Ravine.

The man, the myth, the legend Vincent Edward Scully. Scully is undoubtedly the biggest sportscasting icon the industry has ever seen, and one of the most iconic Dodgers to ever live. Up there with Tommy Lasorda, Jackie Robinson, and Sandy Koufax, Scully undoubtedly is the perfect definition of what it is to be a Dodger. From Brooklyn to Los Angeles, Scully has been with the team.

Dodgers fans were heartbroken to hear that after 2016 they would not be hearing Scully’s iconic voice. However, unconfirmed reports are surfacing that Scully himself has decided to stage a comeback.

That is right Dodgers fans! We all will be hearing Scully take over the mic once more and read us his signature “It’s time for Dodger baseball!” Scully joins Brett Favre and a possible Marshawn Lynch in guys that could not hang up the boots.

Scully himself spoke on this issue to me personally. He told me to keep it a secret, but c’mon, how can I not spread the great news! Vin, I am so sorry, I really hope that we can still be best buds after this post. When discussing this decision Scully stated:

"I just could not step away from the broadcast booth. I have made it my sole responsibility to serve as the Dodgers commentator until Clayton’s newly born boy retires after a hall of fame career. Sure, I may be nearing 130 by that time, but I think but with advances in modern science and my high level income, it’s not crazy to think I can live to be 245, maybe 300."

Scully took a page right out of Ricky Bobby’s book for that one, declaring that he could be commentating for a very long time. Heck, he even went as far to say:

"I want to be the first play by play announcer to call a game on Mars. I think with the revolutions with NASA, I can be a part of this first crewed mission to Mars, and build my very own stadium."

That is right ladies and gentlemen, Vin Scully will also man the first crewed mission to Mars and build his very own version of Chavez Ravine. Don’t worry Dodgers fans, Scully is going to be around a lot longer than this next season.

Of course, this is groundbreaking news, obviously, this is also posted on a very special day. April Fools! I am sure I lost you at Scully living to be 300, but this whole article and it’s Dodgers rumors have been shenanigans, obviously.
