As you can see, the Rams really have a hole in the passing game – on both sides of the ball. In this mock draft simulator, the Rams turned to the national champions and selected their tight end. Leggett may not be a star instantly, but with his six-foot-five, 258-pound frame, Legget is a man amongst boys.

The biggest issue with Leggett seems to be his work ethic that he displayed during college. With his frame and abilities he was able to get away with a smaller motor, but in the NFL everyone is bigger and everyone hits harder. Lance Zierlin of NFL.com puts it perfectly when he states:

"Leggett has traits and talent, but his production was helped along by Clemson’s system. Will need a more ramped-up motor to reach his potential."

However, it is absurd to assume that Leggett will just ease his way through the NFL, I am sure once he hears his named called to fulfill his dream he might get a kick in his butt and start playing harder. Especially in the young atmosphere of the Rams, with a new young head coach, he could realize he can’t just bide his time in the NFL.

With his size, and his impressive 736 yards and seven touchdowns, Leggett proves that his ceiling may be higher than scouts anticipate. With his selection in the fourth round, this selection would be nothing but a steal if he works out, and if he doesn’t, then all the Rams wasted was a fourth round selection. There is little risk with high reward.
