Dennis Smith Jr.

Dennis Smith Jr.  is the second underdog player the Lakers should draft.

If he hasn’t been in any Lakers rumors already, he may soon be the topic of them. He played for North Carolina State as their point guard.

If the Lakers don’t draft Lonzo Ball, they could draft this guy. Dennis Smith Jr. is an athletic point guard who can do everything.

There are qualities or attributes whichever you prefer to call them that he has similar to Lonzo Ball. Also, he has his own skills set different from Ball.

Dennis Smith Jr. is an energetic player and is freakishly athletic. I don’t want to start drawing comparisons, but if I had to choose one, I’d say he reminds me of Russell Westbrook.

Yes, Dennis Smith Jr. has his own style of play. As I said earlier, he can do anything and his numbers for his season stats prove he can possibly record a triple-double in the NBA.

During the 2017 season he averaged 18.1 points, 6.2 assists, and 4.6 rebounds.

There is no doubt he can record a double-double, hence he can one day record a triple-double. Dennis Smith Jr. has speed, vertical, and court vision. Lastly, he isn’t the best three point shooter, but with those qualities he is able to score and make plays for his teammates.
