Melo Trimble

Melo Trimble former guard for the Maryland Terrapins has been the most recent player to declare for the 2017 NBA Draft. He has played with Maryland for three years giving everything he has.

They have failed to accomplish wining a National Title and that’s probably one reason he is leaving for the NBA. Since he has only played three years if he decides to not follow through with the draft he will be eligible to return to Maryland.

Additionally, Melo Trimble is a two-way guard, which means he is versatile. Either he can play point guard or shooting guard.

Now Trimble is the player the Lakers should definitely take a look at with their late first round pick. There have been many Lakers rumors regarding drafting a point guard.

There have yet to be any of the team drafting a shooting guard. Why not draft a player who can play both guard positions and receive the best of both worlds? This would be a smart option for LA.

He cold either be their next point guard or back up D’Aneglo Russell, with Clarkson or Ennis running the point. Melo Trimble can shoot lights out from downtown, knows how to lead his teammates to score with good passes and plays exceptional defense.

Defense is what the Lakers have been turning around recently. Melo Trimble is yet again another x-factor the Lakers would be acquiring.
