The latest Dodgers news is promising as the Dodgers rebounded from a lifeless performance to pepper the field and the Padres in a 3-1 victory on Wednesday.

In a swift, sub-three hour ballgame at Dodger Stadium, the Dodgers blitzed San Diego starting pitcher Trevor Cahill with two quick runs in the first inning. A Yasiel Puig home run and vintage Kenley Jansen 1-2-3 sent Dodger fans home happy as I Love L.A. blared through Stadium speakers.

Now that the Dodgers have two wins on the year, they look to run their record to 3-1 as Brandon McCarthy makes his first start of the season for Los Angeles. Running up against Jered Weaver, the Dodgers look to keep the bats hot before flying out to Colorado for a weekend series.

As per usual, we look inside yesterday’s game to figure out the three takeaways, starting with something we learned after the game.
