In this deal we see Russell dealt in a package including small forward Corey Brewer for two big men Andre Drummond and Marcus Morris. While the Lakers would not receive a guard in this deal, that hole would be made up by Lonzo Ball and Jordan Clarkson, and potentially could deal one of three power forwards.

Marcus Morris has the capacity to play both power forward and small forward, giving the Lakers another big 3 man alongside Brandon Ingram – as Morris stands six-foot-nine. This year Morris is averaging just over 14 points, just under five rebounds, and a tad over two assists per game for the Detroit Pistons. Morris would be a huge addition as a quality six man, allowing the Lakers to deal Larry Nance Jr. for a guard.

Then we have the star of the deal, Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond. Drummond is one of the best centers in the league and perhaps the best defensive center in the league. The former all-star is averaging 14 points and 14 rebounds per game this year alongside 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks.

Drummond would provide the Lakers with that dominant big man that has been present in nearly every championship team. While this would not boost the Lakers to champion contenders, it would allow Ivica Zubac to slide into the bench and be one of the best bench producers in the league.

Overall, this deal would be very plausible as the Detroit Pistons are likely going into rebuild mode. The team could watch Russell develop, and the Lakers would receive at least four seasons of Andre Drummond.
