Lakers Rumors: Possible Trade Packages for Brandon Ingram

If recent Lakers rumors are to occur Brandon Ingram may not have a spot on the roster. Here, we look at three trade packages that make sense.
Yesterday, we took a look at potential trade packages for Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell. Today, we are flipping the script and looking at possible trade packages for another man, rookie small forward Brandon Ingram.
Ingram does not have as much value as Russell, so the Lakers would not be getting as much of a return on the six-foot-nine small forward. Still, being the number two overall selection in last year’s NBA Draft does hold much potential and merit, even with his disappointing 9.3 points per game.
The main reason the Lakers would want to make this deal either now, or in the close future, would be because of two guys – Paul George and Josh Jackson. Rumors have been circling around Paul George wanting to be a Laker, but with his contract not expiring until the end of the 2017-2018 season, Lakers fans are going to have to wait.
Now, Josh Jackson seems to be the Lakers plan B if they cannot land Lonzo Ball in the 2017 NBA Draft. The six-foot-eight Jayhawk can both the shooting guard and small forward positions, and if the Lakers found the right deal for Ingram they should pull the trigger.
Realistically, chances are that Ingram may stay on the team as a role player if the Lakers acquired either of these men. However, what the returns the team could get are very interesting and warrant at least the Lakers attention.
