In the fourth round the Chargers selected a huge steal out of Jim Harbaugh’s system in Michigan. Darboh is an extremely talented receiver that may fall to the early fourth round simply becuase of how deep the draft class is this year. However, Darboh could easily be a late second round, early third pick – which makes his fourth round selection for the Chargers an immense steal.

Scouts at the combine compared Darboh to Mohammed Sanu, which is an extremely good sign for whichever team drafts the senior wide receiver. In this case, the Chargers pull away with Darboh, would could easily make the starting squad on the first game. With versatility to play wide out and in the slot, Darboh may make an instant impact for Phillip Rivers’ passing game.

Last season Darboh played in 13 games, catching seven touchdowns alongside 852 yards. His 15.1 yards per catch and 65 yards per game averages showed that Darboh can be a consistent asset to the passing game year round.

Especially with his six-foot-two frame and surprising quickness Darboh could be an extrememly dangerous option for Phillip Rivers down the field in games. Getting a starting caliber player as late as the fourth round, especially in a skill position, is an huge steal for the Chargers organization. This pick would continue an already strong draft.
