Julius Randle is easily the third option for the Lakers superstar of the future behind both Brandon Ingram and D’Angelo Russell. With Randle, however, the team should not expect as much yet could still get some decent players.

Especially with Larry Nance Jr also playing at a pretty high level, the Lakers have some good depth at power forward position. Also, although it is pretty unlikely if UCLA forward TJ Leaf falls to the Rockets pick, which the Lakers own, the Lakers could select him and give themselves that stretch four that they need.

Randle is a great asset that could develop into something special, but he is the first of the young core to be a free agent and could be after next season. If the Lakers want to get playoff experience under the belts of their young stars, Randle may be the first guy on the list to go.
