Starting off with a deal that would give the Lakers far more depth with big men is a deal that sees Randle and teammate Corey Brewer shipped to Charlotte for Cody Zeller and Frank Kaminsky. Zeller and Kaminsky are both fairly young, 24 years old, and would continue with the Lakers theme of building around young talent.

This deal would be good for the Lakers as it would give them crazy depth at both power forward and center. Cody Zeller can play both power forward and center, and would be a great option for the Lakers if they wanted to run a big lineup, putting the seven-foot Zeller at power forward alongside six-foot-nine Brandon Ingram would be great.

Kaminsky, although he has mainly played center, could also likely be a decent power forward as he has the ability to shoot the three-pointer and would give the Lakers a seven-foot stretch four. Zeller has started the majority of games for Charlotte, and although Kaminsky has been coming off the bench, he is slowly developing into the star he was in college.

Combined, Zeller and Kaminsky average 22.2 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.5 blocks. The Lakers are effectively trading Randle’s 13.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.5 blocks for an improvement. While Kaminsky and Zeller may not be better than Randle on an individual scale, together they are and still provide a developing young dynamic.
